DRIVER CANCELLATION RATE FEATURE

We’ve made some tweaks on the driver app- you can now see your Driver Cancellation Rate on your driver dashboard! This allows you to monitor your DCR real time! Our tech team is gradually rolling out the new feature randomly as it might take some time, but it will be available to 100% of the drivers on the first week of May!

Make sure that your driver app is updated to Version 5.50 to be able to see this feature. To learn more on updating your app, visit our blog post HERE

 

IMPORTANT CHANGES IN THE DRIVER CANCELLATION RATE

Old DCR Computation:

DCR = TOTAL DRIVER CANCELS/ (NUMBER OF COMPLETED RIDES)

NEW! DCR Computation:

DCR = TOTAL  DRIVER CANCELS/ (TOTAL DRIVER’S CANCELLATIONS + COMPLETED RIDES)

This means that ALL ACCEPTED RIDES including DRIVER’S CANCELLED RIDES will be counted. Drivers must still maintain a minimum DCR of 20% to qualify for the weekly incentives.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

Passenger app has the option to choose cancellation reasons, and one of the reasons the pax can use is that the DRIVER ASKED TO CANCEL.

If a pax reports that they cancelled because driver asked to cancel, we will count this against a driver’s cancellation rate, and enforce the minimum suspension and penalties according to our terms of use.

New Driver Cancellation Reasons

We are rolling out new cancel options for you to choose from!

1. Accepted in error (you accidentally accepted a trip request)
2. Passenger no show (you wait at the pickup for over 5 minutes, but passenger can’t be found or contacted)
3. Can’t reach in time (you can’t honour the trip due to traffic conditions, vehicle
breakdown, etc.)
4. Passenger request to cancel (you were asked by passenger to cancel)
Note that this will show if your App is on version 5.4.298.
If not updated, go to the Play store to update.
Follow the steps below to update your Driver app:

1. Open up the driver app and go to your settings. Scroll down to check device information and check if the version you have is 5.2.298

2. If YES, no action needed– just wait for an update message to pop up and click “upgrade.” If it is not on version 5.4.298, go to the PLAYSTORE on your phone (internet required). Select GTX Driver, and click UNINSTALL. Search for GTX Driver again and re-install app. Your driver app is now updated!

How to Update Your App

Follow the steps below to update your Driver app:

1. Open up the driver app and go to your settings. Scroll down to check device information and check if the version you have is 5.7.0

 

2. If YES, no action needed– just wait for an update message to pop up and click “upgrade.” If it is not on version 5.7.0, go to the PLAYSTORE on your phone (internet required). Select GTX Driver, and click UNINSTALL. Search for GTX Driver again and re-install app. Your driver app is now updated!

GrabCar to Operate in NAIA on March 14!

GrabCar is now in partnership with NAIA! 

Yes, you heard that right. Starting Monday, March 14, GrabCar Drivers can finally pick up passengers at the airport! As Grab strives to revolutionize the transportation system in the Metro, we beef up our services even more by extending our operations in cooperation with NAIA!

Here’s what you need to know about our NAIA partnership:

1. Drivers will be allowed to pick up passengers at the following Grab areas:

  • Terminal 1: Main Arrival Curbside
  • Terminal 2: Inner Arrival Curbside between Bays 7 and 8
  • Terminal 3: Secondary Arrival Curbside between Bays 5 and 6
  • Terminal 4:  Curbside

Please note that only GrabCar (Sedan), GrabCar Plus, and GrabCar 6-Seater vehicles are allowed to pick up passengers in these main pick up points.

2. For strict compliance: GrabCar Drivers can ONLY pick up at the designated fixed points above which will be manned by Grab staff 24/7.

DO NOT pick up passengers outside of the designated stations. Should a passenger request for pick up outside of the official Grab booths, kindly give them a call and request them to move to the nearest Grab booth for pick up.

3. Following NAIA security protocol, GrabCar Drivers will only be allowed to pick up passengers upon presenting the following at the checkpoint:

  • GrabCar Driver ID
  • Flash the Booking Screen on your Driver app indicating pick up

Note: we are currently distributing GrabCar Driver IDs by batches so please await a text message from the GrabCar team to know when you can claim your ID! You will only be allowed to pick up passengers when you claim your GrabCar ID on or after March 14.

NO GRABCAR ID, NO AIRPORT PICKUPS. 

4. Drivers have a waiting time of 2 minutes per passenger pick up. Kindly make sure you communicate with your passengers upon booking for a more efficient pick up!

5. Drivers can drop off passengers at the Departure and Arrival area given that they present the following at the check point:

  • GrabCar Driver ID
  • Booking Screen on your Driver app indicating drop off

Note: Upon drop off, drivers cannot linger in the area for more than 2 minutes or stand by and wait for incoming passenger bookings.

Ang guarantee na matatanggap mo ay for 2 hours only.

2. Paano kung 2 hour at 50 minutes lang ang online hours ko?
Ang iyong guarantee ay magiging 3 hours. Ang cut-off namin ay 50 minutes .

3. Paano kung online ako ng 1 hour sa Monday morning peak at 1 hour sa midday peak?
Wala kang makukuhang incentive sa morning at midday peak dahil ang minimum online hours natin para sa parehong period ay 2 hours.

4. Paano kung ang total fares ko ay 1000, total hours ko ay 3 hours sa early bird, at total rides ko ay 4 sa early bird ng Monday? 
Ang per hour guarantee mo ay 400. 400 x 3 hours = 1200  kaya’t makakatanggap ka ng 200 in incentives (1200-1000). Yes, WALANG GRAB FEE ITO! Subject lamang sa 2% withholding tax (sa halip na 10%).

5. Paano kung umabot ako ng 3 trips sa AM pero 1 hour lang ako online? 
Wala kang makukuha na guarantee dahil kailangan mong ma-hit ang target rides AND target hours sa bawat period.

6. Paano kung mas mataas ang nacollect kong fares kaysa sa guarantee?
Kung iyong ma-hit ang rides and hours target ngunit mas mataas ang fare kaysa sa guarantee, wala ka nang makukuhang incentive for that period.

7. Kailangan ko bang mag-online nang tuluy-tuloy para makakuha ng incentive?
Hindi kailangang tuluy-tuloy kang online para makuha ang incentive. Kung online ka from 8AM to 9AM at 10AM to 11AM, bibilangin namin ito as 2 hours for the entire period.

8. Ano ang pagkakaiba ng POWER GUARANTEE sa POWER HOUR INCENTIVE?
Sa Power Guarantee, mas maraming time periods at per hour ang guarantee na ibibigay sayo. Sa Power Hour Guarantee, 3 lang ang time periods at fixed ang guarantee na ibibigay sayo. Tingnan ang sample computation:

POWER HOUR GUARANTEE FAQs:

1. Paano kung 2 hours at 49 minutes lang ang online hours ko? 
Ang guarantee na matatanggap mo ay for 2 hours only.

2. Paano kung 2 hour at 50 minutes lang ang online hours ko?
Ang iyong guarantee ay magiging 3 hours. Ang cut-off namin ay 50 minutes .

3. Paano kung online ako ng 2 hours sa Monday morning peak at 2 hours sa midday peak?
Wala kang makukuhang incentive sa morning at midday peak dahil ang minimum online hours natin para sa parehong period ay 3 hours.

4. Paano kung ang total fares ko ay 1000, total hours ko ay 3 hours sa umaga, at total rides ko ay 4? 
Ang guarantee mo ay 1500 kaya’t makakatanggap ka ng 500 in incentives (1500-1000). Yes, WALANG GRAB FEE ITO! Subject lamang sa 2% withholding tax (sa halip na 10%).

5. Paano kung umabot ako ng 4 trips sa umaga pero 2 hours lang ako online? 
Wala kang makukuha na guarantee dahil kailangan mong ma-hit ang target rides and target hours sa bawat period.

6. Paano kung online ako ng 4 hours sa umaga pero 5 rides ang nagawa ko?
Ang guarantee na iyong makukuha ay based on online hours. Dahil online ka for 4 hours, makukuha mo ang katumbas na guarantee na ito for that specific period (P1800 for Monday-Thursday, P2000 for Friday-Sunday)

7. Paano kung mas mataas ang nacollect kong fares kaysa sa guarantee?
Kung iyong ma-hit ang rides and hours target ngunit mas mataas ang fare kaysa sa guarantee, wala ka nang makukuhang incentive for that period.

8. Kailangan ko bang mag-online nang tuluy-tuloy para makakuha ng incentive?
Hindi kailangang tuluy-tuloy kang online para makuha ang incentive. Kung online ka from 10AM to 12NN at 2PM to 4PM, bibilangin namin ito as 4 hours for the entire period.

9. Kailangan bang 60% ng rides sa bawat period ay manggagaling sa CBD areas?
Hindi kinakailangan na may pick-up ka sa CBD areas sa bawat time period. Qualified ka pa rin sa incentive basta’t 60% ng rides mo sa buong linggo ay napick-up sa CBD areas.

Ito na ang panahon para magkaroon ng UNLIMITED EARNINGS dahil makakakuha ka ng ADDITIONAL Php100 ON TOP for each GrabShare Booking!

  • MATCHED GrabShare ride = EXTRA Php200 ON TOP
  • UNMATCHED GrabShare ride = EXTRA Php100 ON TOP

Good news, Grabbers.

Maaari ka nang mag-accept ng Back-To-Back Jobs! This is a new feature on the driver app that allows you to accept your next job, habang kinukumpleto mo ang iyong existing trip. Mababawasan na ang waiting time mo between bookings, at tataas pa ang iyong earnings!

How does it work? 

You will now see upcoming jobs habang papalapit ka na sa drop off point ng iyong sakay na pasahero who is completing a trip.
Once you accept the job, puntahan ang pick up point ng iyong next passenger after you drop off your current passenger.
Makikita ng iyong next passenger mula sa kanyang Grab passenger app na kasalukuyan kang nagda-drop off ng iyong current passenger, at makikita rin niya ang iyong estimated arrival time sa pag-pick up.

Q: Paano ako makakatanggap ng back-to-back jobs?
A: This feature will be automatically rolled out to all drivers over time. Siguraduhin lamang na updated ang iyong driver app. You will only be assigned a back-to-back job if you are close to the drop off point for your current GrabCar job, and the app makes sure that you are just 5-10 minutes away from the next passenger’s pick-up location.

Q: Maaari mo bang piliin kung kelan mag-aacept ng back-to-back jobs?
A: Hindi maaari. If you are currently on a job and ayaw mong makatanggap ng panibagong pasahero, just swipe the “Available for Jobs” button to the left. Tandaan lamang, you will not receive ANY jobs until you swipe the “Available for Jobs” button back to the right.

Q: Why should I be excited about B2BJ?

Q: Why am I not getting B2BJ?

We will make sure that FINAL FARES are at least 17% higher than our USUAL FARES for all peak hour rides from Monday to Friday.

WHAT IS THE #FAIRFARE GUARANTEE?

Sa GRAB, naniniwala kami na ang patas na pamasahe ay hindi lamang para sa pasahero kundi para rin sa drivers. Kaya ngayong 2017, ibibigay namin sa inyo ang FAIR FARE GUARANTEE.

Sa Fair Fare Guarantee, siguradong mas mataas ang iyong final fare ng at least 17% sa usual fare.

WHO ARE QUALIFIED FOR THIS GUARANTEE?

Sa kasalukuyan, piling drivers lamang ang makaka-avail ng special guarantee na ito. Kung ikaw ay hindi napasama sa guarantee, huwag mag-alala dahil ito ay maibibigay din sa lahat ng Grabbers sa tamang panahon. Abangan lamang ang text mula kay Grab para malaman kung kayo ay qualified na para sa ating #FairFareGuarantee.

WHAT RIDES ARE COVERED UNDER THIS GUARANTEE?

Weekday peak hour rides lamang ang makakasama sa computation ng #FairFare Guarantee, e.g. Monday to Thursday 4AM-10PM at Friday 4AM-12MN. Lahat ng rides labas sa mga oras na ito ay hindi masasama sa computation ng guarantee.

HOW DO I COMPUTE MY #FAIRFARE GUARANTEE?

Pumunta sa Job History at tingnan lahat ng trips na qualified para sa guarantee. Sa bawat completed booking sa transaction history, makikita ang Usual Fare at Final Fare. The #FairFare Guarentee ensures that your final fare should be AT LEAST 17% HIGHER than your usual fare. Kung mas mataas ang fair fare sa final fare, ireremit sa GCash ang difference (see Example 1). Kung mas malaki ang final fare sa fair fare, walang mareremit sa GCash (see Example 2).
